An official with the Metis Nation says implementing the Kelowna Accord shouldn’t simply be about playing politics.

Rosemarie McPherson, of the Women of the Metis Nation, joined with other native leaders to address politicians about the Accord this week in Ottawa.

McPherson says too many politicians seem to view the accord as something that was written on the back of a napkin, and not regard it with the respect it deserves.

McPherson says she hopes the Accord can somehow be revived for the good of everyone.
