A former Metis Nation of Saskatchewan area director from the North has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two victims.

60-year-old Norman Hansen was an area director for the Clearwater-Clear Lake region based in Buffalo Narrows, before he resigned last year.

Hansen admitted in court earlier this week that he sexually assaulted two women.

One of the victims, a 44-year-old woman, was assaulted in a Saskatoon hotel room on April 3rd of last year.

Both the prosecution and defence are asking the judge hearing the case to give Hansen a 2-year conditional sentence that would include some time under house arrest with electronic monitoring.

Hansen will be sentenced on June 11th.
