The Metis Nation – Saskatchewan is getting provincial funding to keep its citizens informed about an ongoing fisheries review.

The $134,000 is also expected to help the MN-S gather feedback from Metis people about the new fisheries management plan the province is developing.

The current consultations with the MN-S will take place in the form of workshops at Métis locals and communities.

The funds will also allow for the MN-S to obtain technical expertise and provide feedback to government regarding a draft Métis harvesting agreement and the province’s draft duty-to-consult policy.
