Metis Electoral Reform Panel Returns To The North
Friday, March 11, 2005 at 14:31
The government-appointed Metis Electoral Consultation Panel is visiting Cumberland House this evening.
It’s the panel’s first meeting in the North since the public meetings got underway in La Ronge four weeks ago.
Since that time, the panel has visited seven other Saskatchewan communities.
The panel is asking grassroots Metis citizens to give their take on last year’s Metis Nation of Saskatchewan election.
The commission will provide a report on its findings to the provincial government in April.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 7:00 at the Northern Village Hall.
Meetings will be held in seven more northern communities in early April.
