Meeting Set on Dore Lake Road Dispute

The two sides in a dispute involving the road to Dore Lake are set to meet next week.

Carl Fesic, the mayor of the community, says he and others will host a forum where local residents can talk to Weyerhaeuser officials face-to-face.

Late last month, a trapper in the area threatened to stage a blockade of Highway 924 due to what he claimed was abnormally high truck traffic.

Weyerhaeuser officials, meanwhile, were adamant no discussions would take place until they received correspondence from the village itself.

The meeting is set for next Monday.
