A meeting set to take place next week between the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations and the Canadian Association of Universities Teachers has been cancelled.

Association president James Turk says his office received notice this morning that a Wednesday get-together with FSIN Vice-Chief Lyle Whitefish will not be going ahead.

Turk says there are no plans at this point to reschedule.

However, he stresses the association is very eager to meet with the federation to discuss the situation at the First Nations University of Canada.

The association recently issued a notice to teachers in Canada not to have anything to do with the school.
