A new executive has been elected to lead Northern Saskatchewan’s municipal lobby group.

Yesterday, at New North’s annual general meeting in Prince Albert, Cumberland House mayor Dale McAuley was chosen to replace Buffalo Narrows mayor Bobby Woods as the chair of New North.

Woods remains a part of the 5-person executive and is joined by Ile-a-la-Crosse mayor Max Morin, Pinehouse mayor Cecile Caisse and Dale Powder of Stony Rapids.

Their terms will be for three years or until the next round of municipal elections.

New North’s AGM wraps up today.
