Continuing testimony in the inquest examining the shooting death of 38 year old Shaun Martinot is taking a lot longer than previously thought.

Testimony was originally scheduled to wrap up on Wednesday and then was rescheduled to finish today.

According to RCMP officials close to the inquest, the hearing should last until early next week and could even go until Wednesday.

Jurors are looking at evidence in the shooting death of Martinot after a 17 hour standoff at the Northlands Hotel in La Ronge on August 29th, 2004.

It was found early in the proceedings from the doctor who performed the autopsy, that Martinot received 16 gunshot wounds.
