Another man has pleaded guilty to Committing Forgery in the 2004 Métis Nation of Saskatchewan election.

Shane Goldie was sentenced last Thursday in a Maple Creek court-room to a one year conditional sentence.

As part of the agreement, he will be unable to participate in any future elections with the MNS for the next two years.

He must also perform 55 hours of community service in Maple Creek.

In return for the guilty plea, the crown agreed to stay a charge of Obstruction of Justice against Goldie.

Meanwhile another woman, Trena McDiarmid, also saw a Forgery charge against herself stayed. It could be brought back, however, if prosecutors uncover new evidence over the next 12 months.
