The Saulteaux First Nation man charged in the death of another Saulteaux man found dead on New Year’s Day remains in custody after appearing in court this morning.
23-year-old Jared Gopher will be back in North Battleford Provincial Court next Wednesday.
Gopher is facing a charge of manslaughter in regard to the death of 28-year-old Ronald Thomas.
A bail supervision report has been ordered, and Gopher will stay in custody while that report is prepared.
RCMP arrested Gopher on Monday.
It’s believed Thomas died at a house party on the reserve.
