Man Killed In RCMP Shooting

A 38-year-old man has been shot and killed during a scuffle with an R-C-M-P officer in northern Saskatchewan.

La Loche RCMP say the shooting occurred last night on the

Clearwater River Dene First Nation.

Two officers were at a home to arrest a man for outstanding Criminal Code warrants, but he fled on foot.

RCMP say one of the officers chased him and a single shot was fired as the two struggled.

Relatives have identified the dead man as Harry Haineault.
