A man from Buffalo Narrows died early Sunday morning, after his boat crashed into another boat on a foggy lake.
The 40-year-old man was the sole occupant of a boat that was following another one on Six Mile Bay, which is located on Churchill Lake, approximately six miles southeast of Buffalo Narrows.
The head-on collision between the two boats happened at approximately 3:30 a.m., in extremely heavy fog.
The RCMP say the two boats were en route to Buffalo Narrows when the lead boat turned around to check on the location of the other one, and the boats collided.
The man was thrown from his boat, and his body was recovered later in the morning by volunteer searchers.
His name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Those travelling in the other boat were treated for minor injuries by emergency personnel.
The RCMP are continuing to investigate.
