Man Dies In Crash Near Pierceland

An 89 year old man died in a fatal two vehicle accident over the weekend near Pierceland.
Frank Lavaillant died as a result of his injuries sustained in a head on collision with a pick-up truck at approximately 7:30 Saturday night on Highway 21, just north of Pierceland.
The 20 year old male driver and 3 passengers, one 27 year old male and two females aged 21 and 26, were taken to hospital. All are believed to be members of the Big Island Lake Cree Nation.
The Pierceland RCMP is continuing in their investigation into the cause of the crash.
