Majors, Tootoo To Guest Star In Wapos Bay

The Saskatchewan-produced claymation children’s show, Wapos Bay, is getting some famous visitors.

Lee Majors and Jordin Tootoo will guest star in upcoming episodes of the award-winning show on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.

Majors plays “Steve from Austin”, a homage to his character Steve Austin in the TV series “The Six Million Dollar Man”.

The show’s producer, Dennis Jackson, says it was his favourite TV show growing up.

Majors’ character in Wapos Bay visits the community in search of Sasquatch.

Jackson also says it is fitting that Tootoo plays himself — because of his status as a role model.

Jackson says, “I don’t think he’s acted before, but he did a good job for us.”

The episodes will air in December and January.

“Flags of our Fathers” star Adam Beach will appear on Wapos Bay next season.
