RCMP are continuing to investigate two assaults alleged to have occurred on the Onion Lake First Nation over the weekend.

An Onion Lake man is facing two counts of aggravated assault in connection with the incident.

He appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court yesterday.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Rob Zerz says two people were injured and are currently recovering in a Saskatoon hospital.

Police were called to a home on the reserve on Saturday.

Onion Lake RCMP are investigating the incident, with help from the force’s Saskatoon-based major crimes unit.

They’re also getting assistance from the Lloydminster and North Battleford forensic identification sections.
