RCMP are looking into the drowning death of a 33-year-old Loon Lake resident last night.

Police were called out to Makwa Lake early last evening over a report that someone had fallen out of a boat and may have drowned.

The body of the victim was discovered by a family member during a search of the lake.

An autopsy has been ordered and the investigation is continuing with the help of the RCMP’s Major Crimes Section out of Saskatoon.

However, the Mounties say there is no indication of foul play.

Police have not released the name or the gender of the victim.
