There is a search underway for women from the North who have made outstanding contributions to their community, their region and their family.

The Museums Association of Saskatchewan is sponsoring what’s being called the Women of Influence Project.

The association is looking for exceptional female citizens from across the province, include the North.

Northern search committee member Lynda Holland says the nominees can be homemakers, professionals or women who have led a more traditional lifestyle.

Those women that are eventually selected to be a part of this project will be featured in a large panel of information and photographs that will travel across the province this year.

The deadline for submitting names and a brief background of each nominee is January 31st.
