The chief of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band says he’s not going to pre-judge the new MP for Churchill River.

Harry Cook says he would like some clarification on where Jeremy Harrison and the Conservatives stand on certain Aboriginal issues, but says that’s not going to stop him or his band from establishing a relationship with the new MP.

Cook says Harrison needs time to prove himself, and Cook is prepared to give him that.

He also hopes to soon hear first-hand how Harrison plans to work for members of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
