Most of the incumbent board members on the Northern Lights School Division were re-elected yesterday.

Bruce Ruelling defeated 3 challengers to take the La Loche seat.

In La Ronge, Doyle Vermette held off challenger Mike Durocher to keep his seat on the board.

Tina Anderson was voted back in as the Green Lake representative.

Incumbent Dale McCauley defeated challenger Lennard Morin for the Cumberland House seat.

Joey McCallum is back on the Northern Lights board as the Pinehouse representative after beating out 2 challengers in yesterday’s vote.

In Buffalo Narrows, incumbent Frank Durocher defeated 3 challengers for his seat to get re-elected.

Claire Larocque is back by acclamation as the Far North representative.

The only incumbent Northern Lights board member to lose out yesterday was Jerry Lavoie. He was replaced as the Beauval representative by Clara Sanderson.

Meantime, it’s not clear yet who will represent Sandy Bay on the board. At last word, Peter J. Bear had a 47-vote lead on Mary Lou Shingler, with one poll still to report in.

In the Ile-a-la-Crosse School Division, incumbents Andrew Bouvier, Barb Burnouf, William Caisse, John P. Daigneault, Louis Gardiner and Yvette Morin were all voted back on to the board yesterday. The only change has Terrence Morin replacing incumbent Marie-Adelle Desjarlais.
