A new court date has been set for a man accused of stealing from a liquor store in La Loche.

59-year-old Jonas Bruno Janvier has been charged with one count of theft over $5,000 for allegedly stealing from the store he once ran.

He appeared in court yesterday. The judge set the matter over to February 12th.

The case drew headlines in the summer of 2005 when the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority fired Janvier and another manager in Biggar for allegedly stealing from the company.

At the time, the SLGA indicated $227,000 was unaccounted for at the La Loche facility.
