Lewis Re-Elected In Onion Lake

Voters on the Onion Lake First Nation have given their current chief another mandate.

 

In a vote held over the weekend, incumbent leader Henry Lewis received 450 votes to lay claim to another two-year term.

 

His arch-rival, former chief Wallace Fox, finished in second spot with 335 votes.

 

Joining Lewis on council are Florence Blois-Carter, Clement Cardinal, Darrell Carter, Joe Dillon, Roy Littlewolf, Quincy Littlewolf, Marvin Meestro and Leon Whitstone.

 

A total of 66 band members ran in the election.
