NDP leader Jack Layton says northerners can rest assured Anita Jackson would do a better job in office than Jeremy Harrison, if elected.
Layton says he’s proud of Jackson’s work ethic, and impressed with her grasp of Aboriginal issues.
The party leader also contends his party is a better choice than the Conservatives or Liberals, because the NDP believes tax dollars should be given to grassroots people first, and corporations second.
Layton says the Liberals talk a good game when it comes to Aboriginal issues, but most of their commitments either don’t happen or they turn into job creation for bureaucrats.
He also asks Metis voters to look at Paul Martin’s track record when deciding how to vote.
