Federal NDP leader Jack Layton made a campaign stop in Prince Albert yesterday.

Layton claims he is disappointed with both Prime Minister Paul Martin and Conservative leader Stephen Harper for failing to address more of the issues affecting First Nations and Metis people across the country.

Layton says Aboriginal people are leery of voting for a Conservative party that he says doesn’t deal with any of their issues.

Layton also says Aboriginal people are growing tired of waiting for Martin and the Liberals to come through on several promises they’ve made in the past.

Layton says the Liberals have had 11 years to tackle the First Nations health and housing issues, but have failed to make a difference.
