Layoffs Issed At Meadow Lake Pulp Mill

Twenty workers have been handed pink slips at the Meadow Lake pulp mill.

The news came down early this week, and company officials are hinting more could be on the way.

Plant lawyer Conrad Hadubiak says the workers were laid off because of restructuring measures.

He also says he’s not sure if they will be coming back.

The mill recently filed for bankruptcy protection from its creditors after news surfaced it was hundreds of millions of dollars in debt.
