Incumbent Churchill River MP Rick Laliberte feels he’s in the best position to ensure the riding’s voice is heard in Ottawa.
Laliberte says if he wins this month’s election as an independent candidate, Churchill River will have the ability to pick and choose which party to side with on any issue,
Laliberte is also excited about the possibilities for the riding if it’s represented by an independent and if predictions of a minority come true.
Laliberte says provincial Liberal MLAs were given cabinet posts to join the NDP in a coalition government, and says the possibility could exist for him to make a similar deal if he’s voted in.
Laliberte also says Churchill River voters should consider the experience factor when weighing which candidate will have the most pull in Ottawa.
