Laliberte Not Worried About Tory-Alliance Merger

Churchill River MP Rick Laliberte doesn’t think the merger plan between the Canadian Alliance and Progressive Conservative parties will greatly impact his riding.

Laliberte says the merger is similiar to what happened when some Tory members joined the Reform Party to form the Canadian Alliance a few years ago.

Laliberte doesn’t feel uniting the right will have much of an impact on his chances for re-election in the Churchill River riding.

Churchill River Canadian Alliance candidate Jeremy Harrison has applauded the announcement of the merger, and says the move will increase his chances of defeating Laliberte in the next election.
