Aboriginal citizens from across the Prairies continue to descend on Lac St. Anne, Alberta for this year’s annual pilgrimage.

The event draws hundreds of northerners every summer.

Co-organizer Rod Lorenz says he isn’t sure how many people are actually at this year’s religious gathering, but he says the numbers could very easily be up from last year.

He expects the largest crowds to be on hand for activities today and tomorrow.

However, Lorenz notes a youth mass last night was something everyone had been anticipating for days.

The pilgrimage wraps on Thursday.
