La Ronge Teens Charged With Aggravated Assault

Two male teenagers facing aggravated assault charges in La Ronge have been released from custody after making their first court appearances yesterday.

A 16-year-old, who can’t be named because of his age, and 18-year-old John Keith Ross were arrested following an incident that saw a 36-year-old La Ronge man receive serious injuries early Saturday morning near the Bigstone Road.

The victim was airlifted to hospital in Saskatoon where he remains in stable condition.

Both suspects were released on an undertaking. Ross is expected back in court May 23rd. The court date for the minor has yet to be released.
