A 17 year old La Ronge youth remains in hospital after being involved in a single vehicle accident, just north of La Ronge on the weekend.

At approximately 8:30 pm on Saturday, officers responded to the site of an accident along Highway 102, 10 kilometers north of the community.

Upon arrival, officers found a ’94 GMC pickup truck sitting on the passenger side. Officers don’t know for sure, if the vehicle completely rolled or just tipped over onto its side.

An 18 year old male driver from Southend, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Officers say his blood alcohol level was more than one and a half times the legal limit.

The 17 year old male was rushed to hospital in La Ronge and later flown to the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon with undetermined injuries.
