The RCMP say the discovery of a body in a park in La Ronge this past June is no longer being treated as suspicious.

On June 13th, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the La Ronge RCMP received a call about an unconscious man found by the shore of Lac La Ronge in Patterson Park.

The 37-year-old victim was subsequently determined to be dead.

The Mounties initially called it a suspicious death, but after investigating the matter, they no longer believe that is the case.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Carole Raymond says that while they cannot release the cause of death, they have no concerns about the circumstances.

The name of the victim will not be released.
