La Ronge RCMP Probing Another Armed Robbery

La Ronge RCMP is looking for a suspect following an armed robbery over the weekend on a local reserve.

Police say a young Aboriginal man entered Henry’s Store at around 11:30 Saturday night, armed with a knife.

The suspect made off with roughly one thousand dollars.

The RCMP report the suspect then fled the scene on foot into the bushes behind the store on the Fairchild Reserve.

Despite the fact that this latest robbery resembles one that took place at the Quarry Confectionary in La Ronge a couple of weeks ago, Staff Sergeant Kirk Munro doesn’t believe the Mounties are dealing with the same suspect in both cases.

The suspect in this past weekend’s robbery is 16 to 25 years of age and is between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feet-10-inches in height.

The suspect was wearing a blue bandana on his face, and had a black sweater and black pants.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the La Ronge RCMP at 425-6730.
