RCMP in La Ronge are looking for a woman believed to have run down a boy on a bike on the local highway Sunday night.

The Mounties say the youth was struck from behind on Highway 102 near the new fire hall at around 10:30 that night.

He was driven to the local health centre by the driver, but she never identified herself.

The RCMP say the woman, believed to be in her 50s or 60s with black hair and glasses, was driving a grey or green older style car.

Her car is said to have sustained heavy damage on its front passenger side — including a shattered windshield and a broken headlight.

Anyone with information on the car or its driver is asked to call the La Ronge RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
