It looks like the second stage in the construction of a new transmission line from Prince Albert to La Ronge should be completed by late August.

The stretch of line from Prince Albert to the Timber Cove switching station has already been finished — and recently, crews began work to bring the new line 74 kilometres north to the Tracey Road regulator.

SaskPowwer spokesman Larry Christie says, barring a natural disaster, work on that section should be completed by the August deadline.

SaskPower says completion of the remaining 74 km from the Tracey Road regulator to La Ronge will depend on future load growth.
