54-year-old Andy Clark of La Ronge has been identified as the pilot killed in a plane crash just North of La Ronge’s Forest Fire Fighting Center over the weekend.

Clark, who has flown with Saskatchewan’s Northern Air Operations for 22 years, was one of three pilots on board the Convair 580A that went down Sunday afternoon.

57-year-old, Dean Stueck, who has been with northern air operations for 28 years, was identified as the second pilot injured in the crash. A third pilot, who worked for Conair Aviation, was injured as well, but his name is not being released. Both survivors of the crash are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries in hospital in Saskatoon.

Transport Canada officials are currently on site trying to determine the cause of the crash.

Clark leaves behind a wife and 3 children. Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for Thursday in La Ronge.
