La Ronge Natural Gas Project Still A Go

According to SaskEnergy, natural gas is still coming to La Ronge.

According to spokesman Dave Burdeniuk, construction of a pipeline to bring natural gas to the northern community can’t get underway until all of the proper permits have been obtained.

However, Burdeniuk still believes the work will get underway before the end of winter.

He says that once the utility has completed the paperwork, it will be ready to begin building the pipeline.

He adds that most of the pipe to be used in the construction has already been purchased.

Burdeniuk is still hopeful that natural gas will be in place in La Ronge by next winter.
