La Ronge Mayoral Candidate Refutes Local Gossip

One of the candidates in the race to become mayor of La Ronge is speaking out about some e-mails going around.

Al Loke says it has come to his attention that several people have received e-mails saying the future of the local Junior A hockey team could be in jeopardy if he becomes mayor.

Loke says the message is completely untrue as he is a big supporter of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Loke says he has already talked to the Ice Wolves’ brass to make sure they understand the information is false.
