La Ronge Bottle Ban Meeting Tomorrow Night

The La Ronge and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting an important meeting tomorrow night to inform local businesses about the upcoming beer bottle ban.

Chamber spokesperson, Marilyn Scott, says the special meeting was called for by members of the Chamber of Commerce and the beer bottle ban is the main item on the agenda.

The ban on the sale of beer in glass bottles, which was brought forth by La Ronge Town Council, is to be implemented on Thursday, September 1st.

All businesses in the area, that feel they would be directly or indirectly impacted by the ban, are encouraged attend the meeting.

The meeting will take place at the La Ronge Motor Hotel at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night.

Meantime, the northern village of Buffalo Narrows plans to implement a similar bottle ban on September 1st as well.

Reports indicate that local reaction to the ban has been positive.
