La Loche Woman Named to Human Rights Commission

A woman from La Loche has been appointed to serve on the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission.

 

Vivian Janvier is employed by the La Loche Community Development Corporation and is the director of the La Loche Friendship Centre.

 

She is also involved in community organizations respecting justice and social development and is fluent in the Dene language.

 

Justice Minister Eric Cline says Janvier’s knowledge, background and experience will be of tremendous value to the human rights commission and is certain she will play a vital role in protecting the fundamental human rights of Saskatchewan citizens.
