La Loche Shooter Charged

La Loche RCMP have laid charges in the recent shooting incident which occurred in the small northern community earlier in the week.

A 62 year old La Loche man has been charged in connection to the Tuesday shooting.

He will appear in court later this month, facing 2 counts of unlawfully causing bodily harm, 2 counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm and one count of careless use of a firearm.

The man has been released on the promise to appear on September 19th in La Loche Provincial Court. His name will be released following his court appearance.

A 23 year old man and 19 year old woman are recovering from their injuries sustained in the shooting, which happened approximately 15 kilometers North of La Loche.
