The federal government has announced funding for several initiatives aimed at fighting homelessness across the province, including three in northern Saskatchewan.
In fact, a project in La Loche is getting the most federal help.
Just over $1.3 million has been earmarked for what’s being called the Dene Empowerment Housing Project in La Loche, which will be administered by Methy Construction.
Homelessness initiatives in Ile-a-la-Crosse and La Ronge are also getting funding.
In all, Ottawa is putting $3.2 million into 25 projects in eight Saskatchewan communities.
