Klein Endorses La Loche-to-Fort McMurray Link

Northern Affairs Minister Buckley Belanger is glad to hear Alberta’s premier speak publicly about the possibility of building a highway connecting Fort McMurray and La Loche.
Yesterday, Klein confirmed his province was seriously looking at that proposal — saying the move would make sense for a lot of reasons.
It’s believed to be the first time Klein has made public comments about the matter.
Belanger says even though there still has been no official announcement, he says Klein’s comments yesterday are in line with what Klein has been telling provincial officials for some time now.
La Loche mayor Georgina Jolibois also welcomes Klein’s statements and says her community will be ready when the road is eventually built.
