Karwacki Calls For First Nations Roundtable

Saskatchewan’s Liberal leader says it’s high time the provincial government establish a formal roundtable process with First Nations.

David Karwacki says that kind of ongoing dialogue would likely have prevented the current controversy surrounding smoking in native-owned casinos.

Karwacki says the two sides have been moving along on separate paths for far too long, and he puts the blame squarely on the provincial government.

Karwacki also says the province should never be in a position where it considers offering concessions in order to get compliance from First Nations.
