Jury In Tisdale Sex Case Unable To Reach Verdict

There’s a hung jury in the Tisdale trial of a Saskatchewan man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old Cree girl on a country road.

 

Jurors in the case of Jeffrey Brown told the judge that they were steadfastly deadlocked and that there is no evidence that would help them reach a verdict.

 

The Crown will now decide if it wants to pursue a new trial.

 

The prosecution says the outcome is disappointing while Brown’s defence says they’re not surprised.
