A Green Party candidate who ran in the recent provincial election says he will not be taking a stab at federal politics.

Harold Johnson says, after thinking it over, he’s decided to stay out of the race for the seat in Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River.

Johnson says he loves the North too much to spend all his time in Ottawa.

Johnson collected 6.2 per cent of the vote in the Cumberland riding in the recent election, which is reportedly the highest in the Saskatchewan Green Party’s history.
