The NDP candidate in northern Saskatchewan says she is hearing uniform issues across the riding during her campaign stops that need to be addressed in order for the North to move forward.
Anita Jackson says she’s been talking with constituents in the Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River riding and many of them have similar concerns — including road access, housing and quality of life.
Jackson states developing local economies and creating jobs are two issues that are also being mentioned a lot, as are issues related to children, young people and seniors.
She promises that if she is elected, housing will be the top priority because she has seen the Third World conditions in the North.
Jackson says restoring Aboriginal languages in the constituency will also be a high priority.
