Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River NDP candidate Anita Jackson says her party is determined to make education more accessible for northern youth.

Jackson says youth and their education are important factors when determining prosperity and economic security in northern Saskatchewan.

She says the NDP will be pushing for a decrease in tuition fees for post-secondary students, which in turn, will make it easier for students to succeed.

Jackson says she will also push for easier access to post-secondary programs in the North, so those students don’t face the burden of travelling south for education. She adds, in most cases, they suffer a great deal of stress from the culture shock of moving into a big city.
