The RCMP has been asked to investigate financial irregularities totaling an estimated $227,000 at the liquor store in La Loche.
The request was made by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, which says it will co-operate fully with the investigation.
The SLGA says the manager of the La Loche liquor store has been dismissed with cause in relation to the irregularities.
The government agency is also asking the provincial auditor to review the SLGA’s controls and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
