Two investigators from the Transportation Safety Board should be arriving in La Ronge today.

They will be looking into yesterday’s crash of a twin otter ski plane on the runway of the local airport during takeoff.

No one was seriously hurt, but the seven occupants did receive bumps and bruises.

TSB regional manager Peter Hildebrandt says the investigators will examine both the plane and talk to witnesses to get a better understanding of what happened.

Hildebrandt says, among other things, the investigators will look at markings on the ground and examine the plane’s flight path.

Hildebrandt says depending on what the investigators find, pieces of the plane may be taken back to Winnipeg for closer inspection.

He is not sure how long they will be in La Ronge.

Hildebrandt says the investigators will also be looking to see if there are any problems in the system overall that need to be amended.
