Interest High In New Flights To Fort McMurray

A spokesman for Transwest Air says the airline’s new flights to Alberta’s oilsands capital seem to be a hit.

Ken Landers says the recent addition of the Fort McMurray air service is “taking off really well” after its first week.

He couldn’t provide information related to ticket sales, but says many passengers are already re-arranging their work schedules in northern Alberta to accomodate the flight schedule.

Landers says many northerners are particularly interested in the Monday flight to Fort McMurray because it’s a direct flight, while the other flights later in the week require overnight delays in Saskatoon.
