An Aboriginal hip hop artist in Regina recently used his talents to help out some at-risk youth.

Brad Bellegarde, also known as InfoRed, worked with a group of kids from Ranch Ehrlo.

Because he’s a hip hop artist, he taught them how to make beats and write songs.

Each youth wrote a song, and Bellegarde put them all on one CD.

The group is having a CD release party this Sunday in Regina.

He says he’s pretty proud of the work they did, because it taught the kids they can do anything they want if they put their mind to it.

Next, Bellegarde hopes to do similar projects within the public and separate school divisions in Regina.
